1. Scope
This policy applies to DigiMade-managed hosting for eligible static business websites, portfolios and brochure websites. Hosting of e-commerce platforms, applications, databases and other dynamic services is only included where expressly stated in the quotation or hosting agreement.
2. Included static website hosting
Normal delivery of website pages, images, stylesheets, JavaScript and other standard static assets is included. There is no fixed monthly visitor or bandwidth cap for ordinary static website delivery. High visitor numbers alone do not constitute misuse. Hosting remains subject to the agreed technical scope and reasonable use of shared infrastructure.
3. Published website size and file limits
Standard hosting includes up to 1 GB of published website files, up to 5,000 individual files, and up to 20 MB per individual file. These are DigiMade package allowances, not monthly transfer limits. Larger websites or files may be supported following written agreement and may require an alternative service.
4. Traffic and fair usage review
Where a hosted website transfers more than 100 GB of data in a calendar month, DigiMade may review its traffic and resource requirements. This is a review threshold, not an automatic bandwidth cap, breach, surcharge or suspension trigger. Ordinary static traffic may continue without additional charges if the existing service remains suitable.
5. Dynamic processing and metered services
Standard hosting does not include server-side functions, application processing, databases, object storage, image transformation services, video streaming, bulk file delivery, paid APIs or transactional email unless expressly agreed. If dynamic processing is separately included, the quotation must specify its own monthly and daily request allowance and any processing, storage or other metered limits. No default dynamic request allowance is promised under standard hosting.
6. Prohibited or separately quoted activities
Standard hosting must not be used for bulk downloads, public file repositories, software distribution, video or audio streaming, automated scraping endpoints, cryptocurrency mining, unlawful content, malicious traffic generation or other activities outside the agreed business website purpose. Legitimate third-party integrations may be agreed separately.
7. Monitoring and customer notification
DigiMade may review aggregate traffic, published file size, request patterns and technical resource use to manage reliability, security and costs. If a site is approaching an agreed allowance or requires a different service, DigiMade will normally contact the customer with the options and proposed costs before making changes.
8. Charges, upgrades and service continuity
No automatic excess-usage fee applies to an unspecified allowance. Additional hosting costs, paid features, upgrades or revised recurring fees require prior written agreement. If no suitable arrangement is agreed, DigiMade may give reasonable notice to end or migrate the affected hosting service in accordance with the hosting agreement, while allowing a reasonable opportunity to retrieve website materials where practicable.
9. Security and emergency measures
DigiMade may temporarily restrict abusive requests or take proportionate urgent action where reasonably necessary to address an active security incident, unlawful activity or a serious threat to service availability. DigiMade will notify the customer as soon as reasonably practicable.
Hosting plans and exclusions
Hosting Only costs £9.99 per month for an eligible DigiMade-managed Cloudflare-hosted static website. Basic Care (£29.99/month) and Advanced Care (£49.99/month) are optional plans with additional services as specified in the accepted plan description. Each active plan includes agreed static hosting, SSL and the standard-domain allowance described below. Hosting subscriptions begin at the time of website purchase, including before website launch. Hosting Only does not include ongoing content edits or unlimited technical support.
Included domains: While an eligible DigiMade Hosting Only (£9.99/month), Basic Care (£29.99/month) or Advanced Care (£49.99/month) subscription remains active, DigiMade includes registration of one standard domain and its ordinary annual renewals costing up to £20 per year. For a domain with an ordinary annual registration or renewal cost above £20, the customer must agree and pay the excess before DigiMade proceeds. Premium aftermarket domain purchases are separately quoted as a one-off acquisition cost; registry-premium domains may also have higher recurring renewal charges. Domain availability and pricing are confirmed before purchase. Domain registration and renewal are not included after the hosting subscription ends. Email hosting, paid third-party services, licences and work outside the agreed hosting scope are excluded unless expressly agreed in writing.
Shopify eCommerce: Shopify stores are hosted by Shopify under the customer's own Shopify subscription, not DigiMade's £9.99 static website hosting plan. Paid Shopify apps, integrations and other external services are separate costs. See our Website Package & Shopify Scope for details.
10. Policy changes
DigiMade may revise this policy to reflect changes in the services offered or infrastructure requirements. Material changes affecting an existing customer's agreed service will be communicated with reasonable notice and will not automatically create new charges without agreement.
